Tiger Swell

Granular polymer expanding to 500 times its volume in fresh water — used to seal loss circulation zones.

Product Overview

Tiger Swell is a granular polymer which can expand to 500 times its volume in fresh water and is used to seal loss circulation zones.

Applications

Tiger Swell is used to treat zones of loss circulation by filling fissures and cracks with polymer crystals that will expand to ‘plug’ the areas. Tiger Swell should be pre-hydrated in water or drilling fluid and then pumped or poured down the rods. Between 30 mins to 1 hour should be allowed before drilling recommences.

Mixing & Dosage

0.5 to 1kg of Tiger Swell can be added into a pail of fresh water or drilling fluid then pumped down or poured down the drilling rods to the loss circulation zone. Tiger Swell should then be allowed to hydrate to plug fissures and cracks in loss circulation zone. Process can be repeated if necessary.

Tiger Swell can be used independently or with other loss circulation materials.
