Product Overview
Tiger Core is a high molecular weight polymer designed to provide viscosity, encapsulation of cuttings, shale and clay stabilization, improved core recovery and reduced friction to water based fluid systems.
Applications
Tiger Core’s primary function is to improve borehole stability through the inhibition of reactive shale and clay formations. A protective film is formed over both the core and bore walls, which reduces the hydration of the formation. Tiger Core can be used in conjunction with Tiger Gel in a bentonite mud system or on its own in a low solids mud system.
Advantages
- Provides viscosity and lubrication
- Inhibits hydratable, dispersive shales
- Effective in fresh, brackish and saline water based fluid systems
- Aids hole cleaning and core recovery
- Compatible with most other Tiger Fluids additives
- Improves core recovery and penetration rates
- Environmentally safe and non-fermenting
Typical Properties
- Appearance
- White free flowing granular powder
