Product Overview
Tiger Bio Drill is a biodegradable organic polymer that provides fluid loss control in water based drilling fluids.
Applications
Tiger Bio Drill provides filtration control in fresh to brackish water systems. Through inhibition and its wall cake building properties, borehole stability is enhanced in water sensitive formations while also improving core recovery. Tiger Bio Drill provides lubricity which minimizes rotational torque and circulating pressures. Tiger Bio Drill also has excellent cutting suspension ability.
Tiger Bio Drill can be used as an additive with Tiger Core, Tiger Gel or Tiger Drill to form a low solids drilling fluid.
Advantages
- Effective in fresh, brackish and saline water based muds
- Biodegradable
- Improves core recovery
- Environmentally safe and biodegradable
- Compatible with most other Tiger Fluids additives
- Cost effective
Typical Properties
- Appearance
- Tan free flowing powder
- pH (1% Aqueous solution)

Mixing & Dosage
Tiger Bio Drill should be mixed slowly into the circulating system using agitation or a venturi mixer.
- Normal drilling conditions – 2 to 4 kg/m³
- To help reduce torque and circulating pressure – 0.5 to 1kg/m³
- To help improve foam performance and hole stability – 1 to 2kg/m3
Rates are a guide and vary with hole conditions, make-up water and formation. Confirm against the data sheet or call our technical team.
